AI creative R&D for film & entertainment

Turning AI into tools your crew can actually shoot with.

bryantidea is a boutique AI studio for film and entertainment. We build generative imagery, digital human, and virtual production tooling that holds up under a shooting schedule — trained on assets you own and cleared for the people in frame.

Capabilities

We work in creative R&D and virtual production — where a model has to survive contact with a call sheet.

Generative Imagery & Look Development

Concept art, environments, and style frames generated from your own art department assets — not scraped from the open web.

  • Custom models trained on owned or licensed material
  • Style-consistent boards, keyframes & environments
  • Look continuity across shots, units & vendors
Concept & previs Owned-data training

Digital Humans & Performance

Likeness, de-aging, and performance work built on documented consent and a clear chain of rights.

  • Face, body & voice pipelines with a defined scope of use
  • De-aging, cleanup & performance transfer
  • Per-performer opt-in records and an audit trail

Virtual Production Tooling

Real-time tools for the volume and the set, engineered for the pressure of a shoot day.

  • LED volume & real-time engine integrations
  • On-set iteration that doesn’t break the schedule
  • Asset continuity from previs through final

Approach

Every engagement runs on consent, rights, and provenance — a tool that can’t clear review can’t ship.

1
Start on the stage, not in a deck.
We sit with the VFX supervisor, the virtual art department, and the crew who will actually run the tool, then scope from the shot list and the schedule.
2
Train on assets you own.
Models are built from owned, licensed, or production-generated material, with the provenance of every asset recorded before a single frame is trained.
3
Clear the people in frame.
Likeness, voice, and performance work begins with documented consent and a defined scope of use, reviewed against the applicable guild agreements and your legal team’s requirements before production.
4
Prove it under shoot conditions.
We test at real resolution, real turnaround, and real failure modes — then hand your team the pipeline, docs, and prompts so it keeps running after we wrap.

Where bryantidea Helps Most

We’re a good fit if you:

  • Have a strong VFX or post team but no in-house AI R&D
  • Need generative work that survives legal and guild review
  • Want a stage-ready tool in weeks, not a research paper
  • Care about continuity and control, not one-off spectacle

About

bryantidea is led by an engineer who builds AI for the people who make pictures.

bryantidea was founded by Andrew Bryant, a mathematician and software engineer with deep experience in applied machine learning, generative AI, and media technology.

Andrew has worked across research, prototyping, and productization — building the pipelines, evaluation, and infrastructure that turn a promising model into something a working team can depend on.

bryantidea now points that experience at film and entertainment: creative R&D and virtual production tooling built for artists, cleared for the people on screen, and honest about what today’s models can and can’t do.

What clients appreciate

  • Direct, technical conversations without buzzword fog
  • Straight answers on what will and won’t clear review
  • Respect for the artists and departments already doing the work
  • Comfort in the machine room and in the production meeting
